San Francisco’s Gay Pride Parade

This weekend was the weekend of Gay Pride in San Francisco. For the entire month, the whole downtown Market Street area has put up rainbow flags showing the city’s support for the festival. This parade brings thousands and thousands of people from all over the world, and it is said to double the population of the real inhabitants of San Francisco. Needless-to-say, there were tons of people!

The parade had a lot of vibrant floats and music, but the most fun is to go where all the booths and stages are set up with music, live bands, dj’s, foods of all sorts, funnel cakes, trinkets, drawings to win prizes (Toyota, Airline miles etc). It was perfect weather, and it was so fun to people watch!

We had great seats and really, the color and music was impressive. What a way to spend a Saturday afternoon–I love this city!

The Lion King

The Lion King at the Orpheum Theater in San Francisco! The most amazing night! The weather was beautiful all day, then night, I got dressed up in a nice button down shirt, black pants for a night on the town with my friend Mike. We got the best seats. 13 rows back almost in the center. The opening scene almost brought me to chilled tears it was so amazing. The colors, the African music, the costumes, it was overwhelming and stunning. The way they brought the movie to life was absolutely incredible. My favorite character? Rafiki (the African Bamboo).

Naisho Update

For those of you who were curious how little Naisho is doing, he seems to be growing quite fast Aside from waking me up at 6am every morning wanting to play, he’s been great so far. He doesn’t wreck anything, hasn’t destroyed any wires, leaves my plants alone, and is really affectionate. I’m so glad I finally got a kitty!
