This morning, we drove to Judith’s town of Greimerath near the Luxembourg border. From there we went around her area, to the Villeroy & Boch Factory (really famous German China Company). We then drove to Trier, the oldest city of Germany. Here, the Porte Negra stood–a huge Romanesque building. We walked the promenades, went to the Cathedral of Trier, and then ate dinner at a nice restaurant on the river in Saaburg.
Hi,
I have been trying to find out some history of Greimerath,Germany. My uncle was killed her in WW11. he was considered sort of a hero and I have been attempting to gather any info I could.
Thank you
H. Dellysse
My uncle was killed in Greimerath, Germany also. He was in the Company K, 317th Infantry. They were attempting to seize Greimerath..they came upon the small town from the Black Forest. I think there were a lot of lives lost there.
